Anchor Artiste Mercer Cotton No. 20:
1 x 25 gram balls in White 1 and Yellow 293

Cushion cover with pad

1.25mm Prym crochet hook
(or size needed to achieve stated tension)

Outer Petals (make 8)
Using shade 4400, make 10 ch, join with ss to form a ring.

Round 1 – 1 ch, 15 dc into ring, ss into first ch.

Round 2 - *12 ch, now working back along ch, ss into 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr, 6 dtr, 1 tr, miss 1 dc, ss into next dc*, rep from * to * 7 times more. Fasten off.

Flower Centre (make 8)
Using shade 4402, make 2 ch, into 2nd ch from hook work 6 dc, ss into 1st dc to form a circle.

Round 1 – 1 ch, into each dc work 2 dc, ss into first ch.

Round 2 – 1 ch, *2ch in next dc, 1 dc in next dc*; rep from * to * to end, ss into first ch.

Round 3 – 1ch 1 dc in each dc, ss into first ch.

Round 4 – 1 ch, *insert hook in next st, draw up lp, repeat and draw off all 3 lps*; rep from * to * to end, ss into first ch to close round. Fasten off leaving 30 cm of thread attached.


make up the flower motif

 

Position the outer petals, inner petals and flower centre.

Using the length of thread attached to each flower centre, catch all three components together using small sts.

Damp and pin out each petal and allow to dry.

Attach the completed flowers to the cushion cover using the photograph as a guide.
