instructions for the bat

Using template cut out two bat shapes.

Take one bat shape and with right side facing using 2 strands of Anchor Marlitt, stitch two French knots as eyes, two nostrils and a mouth as seen on the template.

To make up, pin the two bat shapes together with non glitter sides facing each other. Use the black Anchor Stranded Cotton to do a running stitch around the edge of the bat leaving a small gap to stuff him. Using toy stuffing, fill the bat, but DO NOT OVERSTUFF. Close gap by continuing to work Running Stitch and fasten off.

instructions for the ghost

Using template cut out two ghost shapes. Pin the first ghost shape plain side down to the back of the glitter felt and cut around.

Take one ghost shape and with right side facing using 3 strands of black Anchor Stranded Cotton, stitch two French knots as eyes and a mouth.

To make up, pin the two ghost shapes together with non glitter sides facing each other. Use the white Anchor Stranded Cotton to do a running stitch around the edge of the ghost leaving a small gap to stuff him. Using toy stuffing, fill the ghost, but DO NOT OVERSTUFF. Close gap by continuing to work Running Stitch and fasten off.

instructions for the pumpkin

Using template cut out 2 pumpkin shapes.

To make up, pin the pumpkin shapes together and using running stitch sew around the edge leaving a small gap for stuffing. Using toy stuffing, fill pumpkin, but DO NOT OVERSTUFF. Close gap by continuing to work Running Stitch and fasten off.

Draw round the templates of the mouth, eyes and nose on to the back of the black quick stick felt. Cut out and peel off the backing. Stick on to the pumpkin shape as seen on the template.

make up

Cut an 80cm length of Orange Anchor Nativa and tie a knot very close to one end.

Using a long need thread the end through a bat, pumpkin or ghost, depending on the order you wish your decoration to hang in. Measure 5cm above the head and tie a knot. Choose your next felt critter and thread him on. Measure another 5cm above his head and tie a knot. Continue this until you have 5 felt critters. Make a loop at the top so the knot is near the head. Your decoration is then ready to hang.

If you would like the decoration to be longer just cut a longer piece of Orange Anchor Nativa and use the same method adding as many felt pieces as you wish!
