instructions
Enlarge or reduce the Heart Motif diagram to preferred size on a photocopier.
Transfer the design using dressmakers’ carbon paper and tracing wheel by placing the carbon paper face down with the design on top then follow the lines of the design carefully with the tracing wheel. Alternatively, place the design underneath the fabric and trace through using a water-soluble pen.
Place Stitch ‘n’ Tear backing centrally underneath the design and insert both layers into the hoop.
If your machine has a quilting foot you will find it easier to stitch using this. This foot is sprung so that it makes it easier to move the hoop around whilst stitching.
Set the machine for free machining and starting with the outer outline, simply follow the outer lines of the design by moving the hoop backwards and forwards carefully. Fill in between the lines by simply moving the backwards and forwards.
For the small circles, simply use a circular motion.
On completion of embroidery, secure the threads on reverse of fabric then trim ends. Remove excess Stitch ‘n’ Tear.
