Mark the centre of the fabric, lengthways and widthways with a line of basting stitches. The diagram gives the complete design, centre indicated by arrows which should coincide with the basting stitches. Each background square on Diagram represents one block of fabric or one Cross Stitch. The design is worked throughout in Cross Stitch. Use 2 strands of thread throughout. Commence embroidery centrally and work the design following Diagram, Key to Diagram and Stitch Diagram. On completion of embroidery, press lightly on wrong side.
