There are 2 easy ways to curl paper
1: Around a skewer 2: Along the blade of a pair of scissors or sharp knife
Fig 1 Cut a strip of paper to required width and length.
Gently roll it up around the end of a skewer (do not use a pencil - it’s hexagonal shape creates creases which cause the paper to curl incorrectly).
When released, it creates a soft curl.
Fig 2 Cut a strip of paper to required width and length.
Hold one end firmly in the left hand between thumb and finger. Hold the scissors in the right hand with the right thumb holding the paper against the edge of the blade.
Gently pull the paper through between the thumb and the blade so that the paper is tight against the sharp edge of the blade.
Repeat if necessary. |
