Coats Diadem: 1 spool of 301 Silver

Anchor Stranded Cotton: 1 skein of 111 Violet (use 2 strands)

1 piece of Coats pale blue craft felt

1 x A4 sheet of blue craft card

Fiskars paper edgers

Prym satin ribbon: 50 cm of pale blue sequin motif

3 white feathers (in different sizes)

Small strip of kitchen foil

Prym/Milward crewel needle no. 6

Craft Glue

Double sided sticky tape

Omnigrid cutting mat, craft knife and ruler

Print off the shoe templates. 

Pin to felt, then draw around the outline of each.

Work embroidery in french knots and detached chain stitch (also known as lazy daisy stitch). 

Cut out and sew top to base using toning sewing thread, matching dots at centre back and gathering in top section around toe edge to create fullness.

Sew bar in place with a french knot.

Glue the three feathers together down the shaft, smallest on the top.

Once dry tie a ribbon around the base as in photograph.

Glue the sequin motif to feathers, placing just above ribbon tie.

Trim the A4 card to 14 x 21 cm using the craft knife and cutting mat.

Fold in half and trim 0.75 cm from front edge. 

Create a border using the kitchen foil and Fiskars edge cutters. 

Glue in place along front edge, then cover with a length of ribbon.

Position feathers and shoes as in photograph, then glue in place.
