1. Follow the instructions of the Pompom maker and make a medium sized pompom for the spider’s body. Use Patons Whisper, in black (6197) and Patons Diploma Gold 4 ply, in black (04285) together.
*Half way through making the pompom add a different colour of wool. I used Patons diploma gold wool, 4 ply, in red (06151). Wrap around about two or three layers of the red wool. Then go back to using the two strands of black to finish.
2. Take all of the nine pipe cleaners and wrap around the Patons Whisper Wool, in black (06197) and secure at each end.
3. Arrange 8 of the pipe cleaners like legs around the Pompom and attach with UHU glue.
4. Take the last pipe cleaner and curl into a pincher shape for the spider’s mouth.
5. To finish cut two small circles of black felt, then attach the stick on eyes to the felt. Lastly fix the eyes to the pompom with UHU fabric glue. |
