Press fabric, then fold lengthways and cut fabric into 2 long pieces. With right sides together, pin and using a 1 cm seam allowance, sew the seams down both sides to form a long tube. Turn to right side and press.
Using the Prym Stencil and Prym Silver Marking Pencil, randomly place the motif on top of the fabric and draw the lines of the design through the slits in the stencil. Keep the point of the pencil sharp to avoid smudged lines. Repeat until you have the desired amount of motifs on your scarf.
Keeping the fabric flat and working 1 motif at a time, place the embroidery hoop over the motif to keep in place. Using 2 strands of the Anchor Stranded Cotton Mulicolor, work a running stitch through both thicknesses, making sure to start with a quilters knot between the layers.
Once all embroidery is complete, turn under a 1cm hem at each end, place the beaded trim inside the hem and pin securely into position. Work a line of running stitch as close to the edges as possible. |
