1.Cut a square of patterned Rowan fabric approx 20 cm by 20cm and attach a piece of Bondaweb to the back of it following manufacturers instructions.
2.Use the Gold-Zack embroidered butterfly motif as a template. Draw around it directly onto the fabric three times. Cut out three butterfly shapes. Leave bondaweb backing on.
3. Cut the Gold-Zack rhinestone motif in to three pieces and place each piece onto each of the butterflies. Use a hot iron to melt glue and fuse rhinestones to fabric. Peel Bondaweb backing from the butterfly shapes.
4. Arrange two Gold-Zack butterfly motifs and fabric butterflies on denim jeans as desired. I have arranged butterflies all facing different directions around the front pocket area of the denim jeans. Pin fabric shapes onto jeans.
5. Following manufacturers instructions use a hot iron to fuse the motifs and Bondaweb to the denim.
6. Once all motifs and fabric are secured begin working into the design. Use Anchor Pearl Cotton Multicolour and a simple running stitch swirled around the shapes. Vary the colours of the cotton to make the design more interesting.
7. Use one long stitch to create each of the fabric butterflies feelers.
8. Finish the embellishment by adding clip on rhinestones around the design. |
