Vilene Bondaweb piece 18 x 17 cm

Vilene Stitch and Tear piece 26 x 20 cm

Spool Anchor Alcazar in shade 5215

1. Back pieces of fabric with the Bondaweb.

2. Trace and cut out 1 large star, 2 small stars and 1 tiny star in Star Stripes fabric then 1 medium and 1 small star in raindrops fabric. Peel off the back of the Bondaweb.

3. Place the piece of Stitch and Tear underneath the front of the t-shirt to help stabilize the fabric when stitching. Place the stars in a random pattern, but with the large star in the centre and leaving 1 small star to place at bottom left hand corner near hem. Press in place with an iron following the manufacturers instructions.

4. Using the Anchor Alcazar and a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine, appliqué all the stars in place, including the one near the bottom hem. Fasten off all ends.

5. Arrange the buttons in place over and next to the stars in a scattered pattern. Place 2 buttons on the star at bottom hem. Using a sewing thread in colour to match  buttons, stitch buttons in place.

6. Remove the Stitch and Tear from behind the front of the t-shirt.
