Kim Hargreaves was born in New Zealand, and has spent most of her life in Yorkshire. With a business now based in her home town of Holmfirth, Yorkshire she has built a global reputation as a knitwear designer.

Kim joined Rowan at just 17, straight from school, and worked there for over 20 years. She rose up the ranks in in-house design where her responsibilities included managing the Rowan brand, creating hundreds of designs, selecting new yarn colours and creating and styling features for fashion magazines.

Her designs range from funky to classic and everything in between. She’s known for her accessories and major pieces too. And you’ll find all skill levels in her patterns with easy and challenging choices.
