Knitting & Stitching Show 2010

One of the most important events for knitters and stitchers is fast approaching. The Knitting and Stitching Show 2010 will be visiting three major UK venues and we would love to see you there.

The Knitting and Stitching Show will head first for Alexandra Palace, London from 7th to 10th October, then on to the RDS in Dublin from 28th to 31st October, and finish up in Harrogate International Centre from 25th to 28th November.

Coats Crafts will have a stand at the Alexandra Palace and Harrogate fairs and you can be assured of a warm welcome – we can’t wait to meet you, show you our new products and ideas, and chat about what you like making!

Coats Crafts will be well represented at the show - and you’re going to be able to see all the latest autumn/winter yarns from Rowan, Patons, Regia and Gedifra. This year Coats Crafts is sponsoring Bliss, the charity for premature babies. Visit the Bliss stand for a free Patons pattern leaflet using Fairytale Dreamtime 4 Ply, which is approved for garments for premature babies.

Designer Nel Whatmore will be at the show – and you’ll be able to admire her gorgeous tapestry and embroidery kits, as well as her new fabulous fabrics. Inspired by her paintings, these designs all feature the most glorious florals. Read more about Nel Whatmore's new designs.

Quilters won’t be disappointed as we have managed to get hold of one of Pauline Burbidge’s new quilts, called ‘Under the Waterfall’, for display.  Plus you will be able to pick up a new free quilting leaflet entitled ‘Piece by Piece’ which has been written in collaboration with Pauline Burbidge.

Our stand will be a hive of activity, as we will also be busy demonstrating the popular new art of Zip Craft. We’ll be showing you how to make brooches and jewellery from Opti zips, and there will be the most amazing dress on show – made entirely from Opti zips! Other demonstrations include showing you how to add a personal touch to your jeans using machine embroidery, and how to make pouch for your phone or other gadgets. Over at the Recycling area of the show, we are going to be working alongside Craft Guerrilla to give you loads of ideas for recycling garments and fabrics.

Our stand is also going to be showcasing our new Bags around the World theme, which crochet and embroidery fans are going to love.

Last but not least, we’re offering you the opportunity to win some great prizes. Come along and view our unique machine stitched quilt and have a guess how many stitches were used to make it. Read more about our quilt competition – and you don’t even have to visit the show to enter this one. Plus, each day at the show we are holding a free prize draw to win loads of prizes from Coats Crafts. Come and visit the Coats Crafts stand - with free leaflets and prizes to win, you won’t go away empty handed. See you there.
