	materials required

	1 pair of striped socks (purchased) Selection of Anchor Stranded Cottons in co-ordinating colours (use 3 strands throughout) Selection of Anchor Tapisserie Wools in co-ordinating colours (approximately 1 skein per pompon needed) Prym/Milward embroidery needle No. 5 Prym Pompon set (624 153)

	instructions

	Using basic embroidery stitches (see our Stitch “How to” section for instructions) work horizontal rows of embroidery stitches around the tops of each sock, starting 3 cm down from top edge. Finish by working a Blanket Stitch all round top edge. Make 10 Pompons using the smallest pompon-maker of the set and using a different colour of Anchor Tapisserie Wool for each half. Trim pompon to desired size. Attach all round top edge to finish.
