materials required
 
1 x 50g ball of Diploma Gold DK (06222)

3.75 mm (No.9) knitting needle.

Orange and Blue Felt.

Yarn costs about £2.30 per 50g ball.

Row 2 - sL1K, K9 [12], (M2 by picking up horizontal loop lying before next st and working into back and front of it) 1 [0] times, (M1 by picking up horizontal loop lying before next st and working into back of it) 0 [1] times, K10 [13] (22 [27] sts).

Row 3 - sL1K, K8 [11], P1, 2 [1], P1, K9 [12].

Row 4 - sL1K, K9 [12], M1, K2 [1], M1, K10 [13] (24 [29] sts).

Row 5 - sL1K, K8 [11], P1, K4 [3], P1, K9 [12].

Row 6 - sL1K, K9 [12], M1, K4 [3], M1, K10 [13], (26 [31] sts).

Press carefully following instructions on ball band.

Join top of foot seam from fasten-off point to beg of ribbing. Join heel (cast-on edge) seam.

Make two 4cm diameter pompons and attach to top of foot.

For each slipper, cut 2 beak shapes from orange felt, and 2 tiny circles for eyes from blue felt. Attach to pompons to form facial features.
