Easter Chick Bootees

Why not knit a pair of chick bootees for the baby in your life using Patons spring-coloured yarns and adorn with felt – they’re adorable, easy-to-make and oh-so-Easter!

 

materials required

 
1 x 50g ball of Diploma Gold DK (06222)

3.75 mm (No.9) knitting needle.

Orange and Blue Felt.

Yarn costs about £2.30 per 50g ball.

Row 4 - sL1K, K9 [12], M1, K2 [1], M1, K10 [13] (24 [29] sts).

Press carefully following instructions on ball band.

Join top of foot seam from fasten-off point to beg of ribbing. Join heel (cast-on edge) seam.

Make two 4cm diameter pompons and attach to top of foot.

For each slipper, cut 2 beak shapes from orange felt, and 2 tiny circles for eyes from blue felt. Attach to pompons to form facial features.
