instructions

1. Back piece of fabric with the Bondaweb.

2. Draw and cut out 5 large circles, each measuring 5 cm dia. and 2 smaller circles, each measuring 4 cm dia. Peel off the back of the Bondaweb.

3. Place the piece of Stitch and Tear underneath the front of the t-shirt to help stabilize the fabric when stitching. Place the circles in a curved line, each overlapping the other, placing the larger circles to the front with the two smaller ones at the end, using photo as a guide. Press in place with an iron following the manufacturers’ instructions.

4. Using green thread and a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine, appliqué all the circles in place. Fasten off all ends.

5. Cut a 4.25 cm circle from the black felt. Place at front of caterpillar for his head, overlapping first fabric circle. Sew in place.

6. Using the green thread, stitch 3 wavy lines in front of caterpillars head, using a fancy machine stitch. Fasten off all ends.

7. Using 2 strands of black Anchor Stranded Cotton, stitch the two eyes onto the face by placing a black bead on top of a white sequin and securing. Then attach the feet by stitching them in pairs all along the length of his body. Embroider the legs by working Detached Chain Stitch from each bead to body.

6. Remove the Stitch and Tear from behind the front of the t-shirt.
