For skirt: Cut a circle out of piece of floral fabric (diameter 10 cm) , cut a smaller circle(diameter 1.5 cm) from the centre of the larger circle to leave you with a donut shape. To decorate the skirt use a section of the rhinestone fashion transfer and iron on as per the manufacturers instructions. Put the wooden peg through the small centre circle, use a running stitch around the circle and pull tight to secure skirt shape to the peg.
For top: Cut a rectangle shape (6cm by 3cm) from anchor embroidery fabric. Fold over the top edge of the fabric to neaten, wrap the piece around the wooden peg and secure the seam at the back to the peg using a basic hemming stitch.
For knitted wrap: Knit a small piece for the wrap using cotton yarn on 7mm needles, cast on 20 loops and knit 10 rows. Wrap the piece of knitting around the peg to create dolly’s wrap, secure in place onto the peg with a few stitches.
Decoration: Add button and rhinestones (follow manufactures instructions for application of rhinestones)to the peg doll for decoration. Give her a necklace by tying a string of 10 small beads around her neck.
Hair and face: Cut enough cotton pearl thread(311) y thread into strands 4cm to make hair- glue onto ball of the peg and draw on her face(as shown in photograph).
Hat: Use the centre of the circle from the skirt, ruche slightly and add rhinestone as per instructions, glue little hat onto head of the dolly to finish off your peg lady. |
