1 x 50g ball of Patons Diploma Gold DK in Cherry (08194).

No.7 (4 1/2 mm) Prym knitting needles


abbreviations

 
K : knit
P : purl
ST : stitch
LP1 : loop one: insert right hand needle kwise in next st, wind yarn twice in a clockwise direction over tip of right hand needle and first 2 fingers of left hand, then over needle again. Draw these three loops through leaving original st on to left hand needle, then slip these 3 loops on to left hand needle, k in front and back of all 4 sts together and slip them off needle together, then with left hand needle, pass 2nd new st on right hand needle over first st.

The scarf will measure 8cm/3 in across and 205cm/80 1/2 in long.

16 stitches and 22 rows, to 10 x 10 cm over pattern, using No. 7 (4 1/2 mm) needles.

Instructions in square brackets are worked as stated after 2nd bracket.


to make up
 

With No.7 (4 1/2 mm) needles cast on 13 sts.

1st to 3rd rows: K

4th row: K1, [lp1, k1] to end.

5th to 7th rows: K.

8th row: K2, [lp1, k1] to last 3 sts, lp1, k2.

These eight rows form pattern. Repeat these 8 rows, 55 times more, then work 1st to 4th rows again. Cast off.
