A mercerised, lustrous, 2 ply, loosely cabled embroidery thread available in a variety of thicknessess; 3, 5, 8 and 12. Anchor Pearl Cotton is most frequently used for Hardanger due to the 2 ply rounded construction - using a combination of thread thicknessess to produce the final effects.
