SMC Select is a new fashion-led yarn collection from Coats Crafts. SMC Select yarns are set to become known for their innovative blends of natural fibres, marrying up with catwalk inspired colour collections.

Formerly known as Gedifra yarns, the SMC Select range will be extensive as well as luxurious. Top knitwear designers have been drafted in to contribute to the first SMC Select collection, where wearable catwalk style will be brought into focus.

You’ll find patterns for SMC Select yarns in the Highlights magazines and Moments brochures, which will be widely available from local craft and online stores.

Yarns to look out for include Tweed Deluxe, an alpaca and new wool mix, which is perfect for the coming season. There’s also a beautifully soft Silk Wool mix, for those who revel in cloud-soft yarn. Fashion Loop is an outrageous loopy wool which looks amazing knitted into a funky 70s style waistcoat. Or shine on, in Extra Soft Merino Opera, a classy merino wool with a hint of sparkle.
