If you love sewing or textile art, here’s a great date for your diary – Sewing for Pleasure, 25th to 28th March at the NEC in Birmingham.

The event promises exhibitions to inspire, fantastic workshops to get you up to speed on the latest techniques, delightful displays of costumes from Oscar-winning movie The Duchess, as well as plenty of great excuses to go shopping!

Don't miss the Customisation Station which we are involved with, where you can get fab ideas for customising your clothes, with its eco-friendly make do and mend message. Come along and meet Charlotte Liddle and Sally McCollin from Coats and make an amazing corsage or customise a plain t-shirt. 

If you have youngsters in tow, there’s even a brilliant Junior Stitch Club with free workshops for youngsters aged 8 to 16.
