instructions

Cross stitch the Jet kit following instructions in the kit.

Trim kit fabric to 6 blocks away from stitching on each side of design. Place design approx. 10 cm down from top of fabric centrally. Using Anchor Metallic and the embroidery needle, work a row of back stitch around all 4 sides, 4 blocks in from edge of Aida fabric. Fray the Aida fabric back to the row of Back stitch.

Cut 4 pieces of felt 24 x 4 cm and mark each piece into 6 sections along the length.

Using template trace numbers 1 – 24 onto paper side of Bondaweb and iron to piece of red fabric following manufactures instructions. Cut out numbers. Position one number in each section of the felt strips, 1 – 6, 7-12, 13 – 18 and 19 – 24. Peel off paper backing and very gently press into place using an iron (as the felt is Acrylic if you press to hard it could affect the felt). Cut the ribbon into 25 cm lengths ( should be 24 lengths), fold each length in half and attach folded edge to back of each numbered section. Evenly place the strips onto the main piece of fabric below the picture, making sure that they fit the canvas size. Stitch each piece down onto fabric around all 4 sides and between each numbered section.

Place finished piece over canvas block and attach securely, tie a sweet or small pressie on each ribbon and hang.

Now wait for the countdown to Christmas.
