instructions

Using 0.5 cm seams throughout.

Using template and quilters pencil, trace Rudolfs head onto cream fabric positioning centrally. With 2 strands of Anchor Stranded Cotton work a Chain stitch over all lines.

Once the embroidery is done, complete the cushion front by sewing the 4 smaller pieces of fabric to the top and bottom of the panel, then on each side of the panel. For the back of the cushion take the other 2 pieces of fabric and make a 0.5 cm double hem at one end of each piece.

With right sides together, pin the front of cushion to the two back cushion panels (overlapping the back panels at centre) and sew all round outer edge.

Clip corners. Turn to right side and press seams.

Using the Prym pompom maker, take the smallest (white) set and make a pompom using the Anchor Tapisserie wool. Stitch this securely into position on Rudolfs face.

Cut the ribbon into 4 pieces and sew to the back of the cushion at overlap for ties. Insert cushion pad and tie the ribbon into bows.
